Getting deserate - Fuel cap - hippieforever3 - 10-30-2008 11:24 I lost my fuel cap and I can't find a replacement ANYWHERE!!!! It has a 3 inch female thread (unknown pitch) I've tried every bus place within 500 miles, truck part places. Finally talked to "Dennis" at BB He tells me it was a Borg Warner part available approx. from 1970ish to about 1987. He couldn't help me locate one anywhere. HELLLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!! GPSGary 1984FC35 Getting deserate - Fuel cap - Curt Sprenger - 10-30-2008 11:36 I'll suggest trying a 3" threaded pipe cap. If that works you need to fabricate a seal. To fabricate a seal I'd try 1/8" neoprene. On Thu, Oct 30, 2008 at 3:24 PM, hippieforever3 <"debra@ticogps.com"> wrote:

I tried that already. GPSGary --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Curt Sprenger" > > I'll suggest trying a 3" threaded pipe cap. If that works you need to > fabricate a seal. It looks very much like a pipe cap set of threads. That might work temporarily. R.E. Or contact a large wrecking yard that deals with buses? Seems like that gas tank would not be a strange unit to find in a wrecking yard along with that gas cap. > > > Getting deserate - Fuel cap - Kurt Horvath - 10-30-2008 16:02 Gary, Ross M posted this you must have missed it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Borg-Warner-900-Non-Vented-Fuel-Tank- Caps-2-ea_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ370098522090 Copy all of it in the address bar and hit enter.
