It makes is a lot easier with the starter removed. Do a search on this site and WOG. Broke Down in MT - Rob Robinson - 10-19-2009 05:05 Robert, further to our conversation. As I told you I believe you have blown a compressor line and not a coolant line. There are two of them and you've blow the longer one from the bottom of the block forward. I've contacted  Randy Dupree who has replaced more of these than he cares to. He will talk you through the repair process. Keep us informed. 2009/10/19 chaunceyboyblu <"chaunceyboyblu@hotmail.com">

I suspect he's in a poor reception area. I'll keep trying him. Roland Broke Down in MT - Rob Robinson - 10-19-2009 05:11 Terry I got them on phone and told them exactly that. Don't shut off the heater hoses and carrry on. They opted for a tow truck and are presently at a facility. They'll get good advice from Randy as he's changed out several of these including mine.

It is very likely they have the infamous compressor hose leaks. I hope they don't shut off the heater hoses and carry on.

Could have helped him personally if the timing was different. I recall a pretty big garage there. Maybe that is who towed him? Terry Neal 82PT40 Bozeman, MT Rob Robinson wrote:
