LXi vs LX - Pappy - 08-26-2010 18:51

Hi folks, it has been a while since I've been on the Forum. Just a quick question; besides power plants (Detroit and Cummins), what is the basic differencebetween the LXi and LX models? Thanks.

Joe,

Dave Brady and others can give you more specific info.

The LXi is the top-of-the line 43' tandem coach with upscale interior, materials and features.

Brad..former 2000 LXi.

When I was looking at Bluebirds one advantage mentioned at Bleakleys was that
you could put a stacking washer/dryer in the LXi. They said they just couldn't
get it to fit in the LX.

Our '98 LX is a 40" tandem coach made by Bluebird with a Bluebird chassis (not
Spartan like the
BMC ) but it does not have all of the bells and whistles that the LXi has. I'm
not sure what we are missing aside from the length as ours is pretty well
tricked out.

Beg pardon. I forgot it was a tandem. And no..it's not a BMC. Were all the LX's non-slides?

We were glad that we didn't have one, used the extra space for afull width pantry and catchall closet.

Thanks to all who responded to my question. I assume that with a Bluebird chassis, both the LXi and LX would be wearing 12/22.5 or 315/80/22.5 tires.

Thanks again.

Correct. Steering and handling of my LXi was great- a pleasure to drive.
