RE: 450 thoughts - Arcticdude - 04-14-2013 21:19 That's good info to know, as well! I'll obviously have to read the one in the database. The Webasto is in most Prevost and other high end coaches. As for the manuals it was writen by first year engineering student, lacking details and specifics to the M450 LXI. Having said that, all of the mulitipluex components are available through Intellitec, and service can done by Johnny Anaderson at Parliament. Johnny can be contacted any time on his cell phone if needed. Also available is Allen Barbee to help on the phone on all kind of problems. RE: 450 thoughts - Arcticdude - 04-15-2013 10:33 Thanks, Hish! I know you're enjoying yours, from the posts I've read. Have you had any real issues with yours? RE: 450 thoughts - Arcticdude - 04-16-2013 17:33 I truly appreciate you guys for giving some insight to the 450. Thanks! RE: 450 thoughts - RBBuscher - 04-17-2013 14:33 The M-450 in my opinion is one the the best riding and build coaches on the road. Try to find a all Stainless steel frame bus out there. Yes you do need to watch your weight on the front axle but your talking about a bus that weighs up to 59,000 lbs loaded. This is my second Blue Bird. My first was an 03 40 LXI and it was also nice, but not like this bus. Every thing on a M-450 can be fixed and parts found. Enjoy the ride! Bad batteries that caused the inverters to go off line but with new batteries I have not had any issues. I add a few things that engineers like to do, (in the auto industry we say shoot the engineer and release the part) I forget that I am no longer working. I added snap disc thermostats and a fan in the inverter bay to maintain the temperature of the inverters at or below 120 F. The manufacturer of the inverters had the fan to go on at 145 F. In my opinion that is too hot. RE: 450 thoughts - Arcticdude - 04-18-2013 13:19 That's certainly a valid thought. My inverters get a lot of heat from the engine bay and alot of road debris from the rear tires. I'd love to figure out a way to isolate them from all the dust and dirt they have to endure, but just haven't come up with anything good. It's also interesting to see how many times batteries and voltage affect other things. Sounds like a good protection measure for the inverters to go offline like that. Prevents overheating of the batteries. RE: 450 thoughts - Hisham Amaral - 04-18-2013 14:30 (04-18-2013 13:19)Arcticdude Wrote: That's certainly a valid thought. Ron Rieckwald did enclosed the inverter area of his 96 BB and added a snap disc themostat to controler the temp on the inverters Ron can be reached on the WOG form. I am not sure if he is on this form RE: 450 thoughts - Arcticdude - 04-18-2013 21:15 I saw that an 06 450 owner was having issues with his radiator mounts. Looks like that's something that everybody needs to be checking.
