GPS - Troy Tikalsky - 09-13-2007 02:36 I use the Garmin Streetpilot 2610. It works well, I turn off the voice commands because they are annoying but have the tone alert turned on so it beeps when a turn is approaching. I really like the feature of setting the vehicle type to bus so it avoids roads that it knows have height or weight restrictions. It has a bean bag base that works well for keeping it planted on the dash and is very easily moved to the toad when touring, no remote antenna just a power adapter. I think it cost about $130.00. I like it the screen size on a laptop better than the smaller GPS. I routed a power supply from behind my set of front drawers to the top of the large flat part of the dash. I keep the inverter on so I am running on AC not the battery. Also keep an internet connection, Email and connection back to the office running via air card at the same time. If a thief steals your car with a GPS, not only gets the car but the GPS is likely programmed to get him to your home, but also he will know that you are not there . Thought I wanted to share this with you guy's. Kurt '97 BMC 37' in NH still 36 degrees GPS - Ken Sann - 04-09-2009 01:36 I have my GPS home address two blocks from my house.
A friend of mine has her 'home' as the local Police Department.

GPS - g_man1146 - 04-09-2009 07:01 Wouldn't they know that from the registration in the glov-box anyway? As a LEO for over 25 years I never saw a car thief that showed up at the victim's house, possible but not probable. Rich D. But do not think that I am paranoid, if you were to Google my name, you would find out where I live and where I work, as well as current and past phone #s, relatives names, likely friends, etc. Plus pictures of me, my motorcycles, etc.

All of you might be interested to Google your name if you have not done so already.
