Lengths - one_dusty_hoot - 01-11-2007 03:54 George, Guess you got a 30.5 footer, just like me,haha!! Well you should have a blast with it and it's a great machine, simple compared to later models, yet functional and very manuverable. Bluebird termed it "The State Park Model" as that was the maximum allowable length before relaxing some length restrictions. Go to http://www.vintagebirds.com for a history and other information. You are less than a pitstop from Maxton near Laurinburg and Myrtle Beach where there are rallys coming up in March, you are most welcome to attend. Maxton is at an abanddoned WW II airport (I think) where you can get into boondocking. Myrtle Beach has all amenities, check out the files section. bob janes, greenville,sc --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, > > Thanks to Bob, Tom, and Stephen for their replies. I found out today that one can call Bluebird parts and give them your body #, and they will give you the actual length of your Bird. I bot mine as a 33', and it is actually 30' 6", (guess it is a 31 footer according to the info that Stephen sent me). Some day I hope to own a 35 footer, and will have approx 4' 3" more Bird to romp around in than at present. I am very happy with this Bird at present, and am looking forward to getting it fixed up. Thanks for the warning on the chrome job Tom. A fellow in Va. told me to make sure mine is triple chromed if I send it off to be redone.Again thanks for the help. I am located approx. 2 hrs.via car, 2 1/2 hrs via my slow 5.28 geared bus from Bob in Greenville, S.C., up I-85 in Charlotte, N.C. Glad that you got your ESP back so quickly. I had problems with mine a few yrs. back, took it in to get repairs done, and was told that it would be permanently down as Parts were no longer Available. LOL. I like the term " The State Park Model". I lost 2 ft. in this transaction, but gained a nice fancy name. Maybe its value went up as well. If you would, contact me off forum at gnburke@... . I would like to ask you some questions about our Birds, that would probably bore other members. I have a few things to get fixed and would like your input. BTW, does anyone know of a Don McHenry from Galion Oh.? He was a former owner, and maybe I could get a little history lesson from him. If there is an end table between the sofa and bathroom wall - it's a 33. There was no table in a 31' Mike Martinkus --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "freewill2008" > > From what I've seen of FC interiors, if you have double closets > between the galley and bed, its a 35.
