Adding washer/dryer difficult? - Mr. Wolf - 04-16-2007 09:47 The question really is would you rather give up the space or walk/drive to the cleaning facilities at the park? Most parks I've been to offer some sort of laundramat. A vented model would definately dry faster. Sadly, in my FC32 there's no room to add a washer/dryer combo! I haven't had any problems using the facilities that seem to be ever present at all the parks though. A couple I know have a washer/dryer setup in their fifth wheel and they swear by it. It's really a personal preference thing. It'd be great to have one, but it doesn't bother me not to. Since it handles small loads we only used it a few times. We discovered that the laundry facilities in campgrounds were often the social center of the park. That's where we found notes about events in the area, book sales, things to do. We took the opportunity to meet people in the laundry. As full-timers, we enjoy talking with people staying in the area as they often know the good places to play/eat/hike. We took out the washer/dryer (Ralph did) and we are glad to have the closet space. The social center in years past was Fridays and The Cannery.
