6 volt house batteries - Henry Jay Hannigan - 08-03-2008 21:55 I just bought TROJAN T105's in Vegas....list $169...got em for $130 plus tax...they are the BEST in my book... I would have no problem buying the Costco brand batteries. They're probably made by one of the major manufacturers anyway. 6-volt golf cart batteries tend not to be terribly expensive, anyway -- probably because there are a lot of golf carts out there... 6 volt house batteries - Gary Smith - 08-04-2008 08:14 Costco's batteries in my local store are made by Johnson Controls. Sorry, but I didn't price their golf cart batteries. Sams Club golf cart batteries were priced around $68 today, 210 AH (versus 225 AH for the T-105. Virtually all the batteries in the US are made by one of 3 companies, mostly as private label products to meet the unique specs demanded of them by the chain (such as Sears, Wal-Mart, Auto-Zone, etc.). So even if made by the same company, differences do occur.
