Hey Woody,

you can buy the hardware for a murphy bed for a couple hundred dollars give or
take.
just add the wood frame & matress system. I built one for my sisters apartment
some
years back. there are a couple different configurations, some fasten to wall
only,
some require wall and floor mouints, fold vertical, fold horz.

pick a hardware kit & come o0n up for a couple days & I'll help you build one.

I think I git the last kit from rockler.com

A few years ago, I believe Harvey Lawrence devised a way to have a king size
mattress over his twin bed setup. As I recall- the bedroom was all bed.

Woody, I have been looking for my first Bird, and at the rear bath
model and have also thought about the murphy bed installation to
replace the twins, I also operate a one-man cabinetshop so would build
it myself. What problems would be encountered under the twin beds,
such as fenderwells ?

I think the "TREK" has a bed that risws up to the celing for storage,
and back down for sleeping, It uses some sort of a gear & track
arrangment.
Would take up too much headroom for Blair, tho...

The fresh water supply is under the twins in a rear bath.

Then a horizontal murphy bed would have to be used, and mounted
above the tanks which would make it that much higher, because the
vertical bed would be too tall to fit the space if there are tanks
under the twin beds. Then I would have to make the bed because she
would refuse because she would have to climb over the bed to make it
up. I already have a set of plans for that one. Bobby
