Space Ship TV Antenna - Leroy Eckert - 12-04-2006 07:43 Anyone desiring to read the text can go to Thomas.loc.gov then Sponsor Patrick Leahy item 32. Senate Bill S.4067 109th Congress, 2nd Session. I do not see an RV waiver in the bill. Title: Satellite Consumer Protection Act of 2006, an amendment to Chapter 1 of title 17, United States Code. I'm not about to read the Code but will send a letter to my Senator urging an RV waiver similar to the one I have already executed. The local stations want to count as many eyes as possible to justify their ad rates. The system doesn't anticipate mobile users (i.e. those of us with RVs). This is an area where Federal regulations are involved. Write your Congress representatives and let them know that you think about them every time you turn on the TV ... and that your thoughts are _not_ at all positive. This regulation needs to be changed to allow mobile people to have the convenience of national programming. Pete Masterson aeonix1@... I ran a set of component video cables from the DirecTV box to the rear bedroom so its all ready to go. > > Good luck, > > > > > TJ Hannink > Goldibox - 1987 Vanagon Camper, Wolfsburg Edition > 1981 Bluebird Wanderlodge, FC-33SB > Full-timing in Paradis, Louisiana > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wolfsburg_campers > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FC_wanderlodge > > --------------------------------- > Want to start your own business? Tracvision provided an A/B switch that is simple to program (w/o a computer) to access satellite pairs. Info on requesting the switch came with the dish instructions. It plugs into the Tracvision on/off panel. Mine is setup for satellites 110 and 119. As for the BB Antenna, it seems to work as well as any antenna -- distances vary with terrain, height and weather -- which in the end, is not that great, nor reliable.
