Thanks Leroy. I hope my luck is better also.

Going to get coach - Gregory OConnor - 10-20-2008 04:03

Leroy, I guess the sender at the puke tank is more of a on off
switch. you can remove the two wires and test for continuity at
ideal condition??

One other area of issue is the overbuilt cooling system integrity.
the hoses are all top of the line major buck multiply material and
even the puketank is high quality stainless steel. If the radiator
cap is the only place to relieve over heat coolant pressure the line
to the tank and the cap have to do their job when called for. If
the cap wont open and the line is not of a larg enough id (CurtS
coolant filter??) the next week link could be a minor compramised
liner seal. Even the high fail hose to the aircompressor ages to
handel more pressure untill it cracks from an external flex. then
there is the dynamic that while overheating you are puking into the
p tank and sending a signal to the coolant level modual that all is
well with coolant level.

Ross, if I has a $9,000 generator in my boat, there would be no room
for the ores

DDEC II to go to ramp mode and cut off impulses to 4 of the EUI's.
Presumably, it also disables the cruise enable also. It seems if the
switch is normally open, if circuit wires were shorted or the module
was shorted internally the indication prior to start would be "do
not start" and a stop engine light, but I do not have enough

Going to get coach - Wallace Craig - 10-20-2008 04:45

Not to make too fine a point of it, but I said taste sweet, not smell. But then who the hell would want to taste that hot mess?? lol

Wallace, when Brenda and I arrived right behind you and witnessed the gooey mess coming from your engine and all over you Durango, I don't recall anything smelling sweet. As I recall, it was a light brown in color.

Going to get coach - smquandt - 10-20-2008 06:43

Greg, Leroy

I had a bad sender at the puke tank this
spring and got an immediate (10 seconds) shutdown in the middle of US-2 in
downtown Iron Mountain. The DD tech reprogrammed
the DDEC to buzzer only so I could get to the shop. Maybe the DDEC is not
programmed correctly?

Going to get coach - Leroy Eckert - 10-20-2008 07:59

According to Glenn Rogers at BB your coach operated as programmed from the factory. I am certain many have been jacked with by prior owners, so the current owners have a false sense of security. Hopefully, the tech put your program back to factory spec's after repair.

Greg, Leroy

I had a bad sender at the puke tank this
spring and got an immediate (10 seconds) shutdown in the middle of US-2 in
downtown Iron Mountain . The DD tech reprogrammed
the DDEC to buzzer only so I could get to the shop. Maybe the DDEC is not
programmed correctly?

Leroy, I guess the sender at the puke tank is more of
a on off

switch. you can remove the two wires and test for continuity at

ideal condition??

Ross, if I has a $9,000 generator in my boat, there would be no room

for the ores

coolant level sensor show the switch open. If the drawing is for

normal conditions including full water in the puke tank then

presumably the sender closes forming a circuit in abnormal

conditions ie. low coolant.???? Then the module sends a prompt to the

DDEC II to go to ramp mode and cut off impulses to 4 of the EUI's.

Presumably, it also disables the cruise enable also. It seems if the

switch is normally open, if circuit wires were shorted or the module

was shorted internally the indication prior to start would be "do

not start" and a stop engine light, but I do not have enough

schematics or books on the DDEC II to figure it out. What do you

think?

> I want to completely understand this system if possible. Maybe

someone else understands the thing. I have gotten this far by

studying my master coach prints, the generic systems in the DD

manual, an overall generic DDEC II schematic and talking to Glen

Rogers at BB. He was on the line when my coach was built.

coach. It has 5 wires and is a DDEC system. Ignition hot, ground all

the way to the batteries, (this ground is tied into the ATEC trans

system and the cruise enable also), data wire to the ECM and two

wires to the sensor.

DDec computer 12v+powerlinks from the battery to the Ddec and
the

post claimed that it was the power to 1/2 the cylinders. Ikinda

think half the power is a wierd way to wire 1/2 a computer and

always wondered why his bus would run on 4 cyls. since ramp
mode

is 4 cylinders, may have been the ground in the battery area (where

the coolant module gets its ground) that when cleaned up( in the

blind search for a fix), finaly kept the bus out of ramp????????

event occurred, the coolant level sensor (installed in the highest

point of the radiator coolant) should have sent the engine with a

DDEC II into Ramp Mode as all 8v92's with DDEC II were sent out from

BB with this pre programmed. High coolant temp may not have worked

if the water abruptly dumped into the crankcase but one should also

expect high tranny temps in this case also. The sensors on my coach

which can only safely be checked by hooking up a tester on the DDL

are, coolant level, low oil pressure, high water temperature, and

low fuel pressure.I have an optional coolant level module also.

According to BB all should give an alarm if working properly and

initiate Ramp Mode within 15 seconds of an event occurring outside

the pre programmed parameters in the DDEC II. The buzzing when the

key is turned on checks the circuits integrity, not the integrety of

the sensors themselves. I gotta

When you get antifreeze in oil it will look milky in color. I don't
think I would want to taste either.
