Jack Stands - Home Made - csprenger - 04-11-2014 14:44

Thomas sent the specs for Terry's stands. I purchased the material, cut to specs, welded this AM. I'll paint them after they cool. This set is 13"...12" 3x3x1/4 wall tube plus two 1/2" plates. Plates are 6 and 4 inch.

Where did you learn to weld like that Curt? Looks great. How do you plan to use these stands? At only 13" tall I'm guessing that they're for placement somewhere between the frame rails and the Ridewell suspension platform???

Thanks for the complement David. Stands will be used when working on the BB and Dodge Ram 3500 crew cab. The smaller footprint is what I want. Regular jack stand wide footprint is usually in the way. I learned how to weld 50+ years ago.
