There are many 'Birds out there without a bedroom slideout. Here's a way to increase the width of your aisleway around the bed. This works especially well in bedrooms equipped with a cross aisle bed.
Install a S-Cape or EZ-Magic adjustable bed. The mechanical framework is somewhat shorter than a standard RV bed frame. When the bed is moved to the reclining position, the foot of the bed moves up to 12''s toward the head of the bed giving you more aisleway width around the foot of the bed.

I know our cross bed is a pain to get around, even worse carrying clothes to the walk in closet. I have the headboard removed and still too close. Interesting-
