Nice little SP. I would love to get one of these and re-power it with a pre 2000 Series 50 and a 13 speed with 3.70 - 3.90 gears. Tons of power 10+ MPG cruising at 65 all day and if you beef the hitch up pull you could pull whatever your heart desires. You could do automatic if you want but I like my Roadrangers. 3208 weight is close to Series 50 weight the same goes for the transmission weights. FC might work as well. Would need to check engine height dimensions for front doghouse and radiator and configuration lengths but I bet they are close. And you would have a jake!

I have always thought the shifter and shifting linkage out of a wrecked COE Freightliner (90s) would sit nicely on a FC doghouse. Nice shorter type throw. This combination would be modern and kick the crap out of most other conversions of this class. The Series 50 is basically a Series 60 minus two cylinders. Same engine otherwise. They enjoy a positive reputation for reliability and are still supported.
