air conditioners cause voltage drop - David Brady - 07-27-2005 16:50 Folks, On my Lxi, whether running shore power or generator power, turning on an AC unit causes the voltage on the other leg to rise, and the voltage on the AC leg to drop. This doesn't seem quite normal to me. Any idea what the cause could be? I'm thinking a faulty or loose neutral somewhere. Any idea on how to debug this problem? TIA, David Brady '02 LXi, Smokey Virginia -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. One day (3 days before warranty expiration date) it went to zero and 240V on legs. Was faulty stator, PowerTech sent replacement. For whatever it's worth, if mine did that now, I'd be delivering it to PowerTech and citing my previous experience.
