National disaster - Ernest Ekberg - 08-31-2005 11:51
I know this has nothing to do with Bluebirds, BUT- we have some forum
members and their relatives that have been impacted by this disaster. I
believe the thing to do is make a donation to the relief effort. My
thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been affected by this
hurricane and I thank you in advance for what you wish to do.

Ernie, could not agree with you more. Regardless of forum members..
Athough I believe one forum member has lost his home to the water...BUT
he is still here to talk about it..thank goodness..We (Judi/me) have
already contributed. I want to go and help but that is not
feasible..You know when we sit in our living room and watch TV it seems
surreal..kinda like "thank goodness that is them and not us"..well it
is US..SORRY..folks this has nothing to do with BB ...if you lived on
the coast as we do you might understand ...

dave, Steve and Pat Gueresko and Bob and letty loomas and their families are
the ones directly affected. I don't know their needs at the moment- but
thankfully there were no injuries. Ernie and Brenda -83pt40 in Montana

Hi Ernie,
Do you personally know some of the family that has been effected and could we
help them buy fuel so they could come park at your place or mine for awhile? I
don't have a lot to give and wonder what is best. I have a good friend who
pastors in Gulfport and his church was damaged, bus barn is gone and a number of
other things. Good to hear from you. Did you get Brenda to Montana? You better
watch it - that place can grow on you.

I received an email from Bob and my wife one from Lettie. Everyone in their
family is safe and thank god their property in Harrahan,La was covered with
flood insurance. They were some of the lucky ones if you can call it that.
