New Member w/ Question re screen - bluesteelll - 09-30-2005 11:19

Hi There,
Found your site today and quickly joined. Looks like something that
will help us a lot. We are owners of our 2nd "Vintage Bird" a 1987 PT
38. Our last coach was a 1981, 31', with a side door that had a very
nice screen so we could leave the door open and the bugs out.
However, even though my wife's been begging me too, I can't figure out
a way to put a screen door on this '87 - door at the co-pilot seat.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you,
Richard Hayden

Welcome to the Forum Richard:

Unfortunately, the PT's did not have screen doors designed for them. I am
working on a project to do just that and should have a working screen door
next year. There are other alternatives via Camping World but they don't
really lend themselves to ease of entry or exit.

Safe travels,

How about adapting a Rollaway screen door
<http://www.rollaway.com/screen_doors_6000_6500.htm> or having them
custom make one for the door opening?

Good luck,

Tim:

I had not seen that one. Good idea. Though not much room on the dash side
of the entry for any sort of protrusion.

Those look good too Bob. I wonder how long it takes to open and close. In
and out's can get hectic.
