Electrical loss - g - 11-19-2005 04:21

I have a problem that I have not encountered before. Went to move thge coach
yesterday and batteries were dead, I left the disconnect closed. So charged
batts and tried to start, nothing. No power to dash, switch etc. Just like the
main disconnect was off. Had power to the electronics. Went out this am and same
thing, But after several tries everything on the dash comes on and coach fires
right up like always, air came up and genset tray moved right in when I hit the
switch(another first by the way). I stepped inside and heard the coach quit.
Went back out and was like I had turned off main disconnect under the dash, just
like yesterday.
any one know where to start looking.
I hate intermittent problems

Glenn, If the batteries are good,??,

I would first clean the battery posts, and check the ground
connections. Then check up on the ignition switch, carry a spare,
( inexpensive part to carry ) , On our 88 there are four or five
big cable connectors under the dash, These are sometimes not very
reliable and become intermittent. Everything on the dash and
ignition switch runs through these connectors. Loosen these
connectors blow the dirt out, lubricate with electronic spray
cleaner, be sure to retighten them.
