Fwd: Starting Batteries - dspithaler@... - 11-30-2005 11:25 : Hi All Thanks for the info on the batteries. I have 4 Trojans for the coach that are 135's. They are 2 years old & doing a good job. My starting batteries are on a isolator as they don't run down when the coach batteries do. Is that the function of the Isolator? I guess I will look for the highest CCA that I can get & still fit in the space of the hold down. I have heard that you can use six volt & twelve volt if they are not in the same bank. Is that not true? I have been running the six volts in the coach & twelve volt deep cycle for the engine for two years without any trouble. I just thought that the starting batteries are better for the engine that the deep cycle. Don 89 SP 36' Butler, PA Don, I just installed 4 new Trojan's in my coach. My other batteries lasted a little over 3 years. Ernie-83pt40 in Texas [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
