Hi all
Need help. microwave/convection just went out while cooking a ham
Good thing we have good neighbors. Should I replace it with another
Sharp or are their better models out there? Would appreciate it if you
could advise the model number and the price Thanks

Hi Joe,

Part of your decision will be based upon what will
fit within the current opening and the method of
suspending the new microwave in that opening.
Replacement is not as simple as in your home
environment.

We were fortunate enough to find a good repair shop
to replace/upgrade the entire package, but within the
existing case so we could continue to use the existing
installation package. It was a whole lot easier and
cheaper than any replacement we were able to locate.

Hi Joe,

John is right on track about the microwave replacement. Fix it if you can.
We found that all the new models have a much greater depth than the original
Sharp oven and produce a lot of heat at the rear of the unit.

Ours could not be repaired and we wound up with a much smaller unit.

BTW, we still have some of the parts from the old oven if you find that you
have a need.
