Have any of you ran into this? - Jon - 02-13-2006 17:24 While working on the steep on my 78 Wanderlodge, I spied a small electrical wire leading under the frount edge of the steps on the bottom. I pulled on this wire to see where it went and out pop an Electrical heater strip cord. I don't know if this was a factory item and don't even know if it works but it was interesting to see this as it shows how the people at Blue bird would go that extra mile. I guess it was used to keep ice from forming on the tread of the entrance door. Jon Have any of you ran into this? - Tom Warner - 02-13-2006 17:33 Jon I think what you pulled out is the safety switch that should be installed just along the bottom edge of the chassis metal just over the air step, so that if the step mistakenly activates and starts to crunch your foot between the step and the chassis metal it will stop the air and save your foot. Yep those BB engineers were smart alright.
