Leveling system - 90 SP36 - williamcharrison - 03-14-2006 01:48 I just started my bird after it had sat for the last 3 months with the levelers down and the hydraulic leveling system pump came on and continued to run until I turned the auto level minder off. This has not happened before, is it a problem? Chuck harrison 90 SP36 Akron, Ohio Leveling system - 90 SP36 - Scott - 03-14-2006 02:30 Chuck, the first question that comes to mind, was the coach moving?? If the pump was running it would be pushing fluid somewhere(if there was fluid to push). Do you think the coach could have "settled" enough to give an out of level condition, thus making the pump run? (got any holes in the asphalt,or dirt or puddles of fluid on the concrete...yikes) I would think if the pump is running and the coach is not moving, then it would either be out/low of fluid, or the fluid is bypassing the pump inside and running. If it is bypassing I would think the trans fluid would show signs of aeration, pink milky/cloudy, rather than red and clear. The system is kind of basic there is a starter motor driving a pump to push fluid. On my 86FC the fluid tank is under the entry step inside and the motor, and pump, are under the coach under the step outside. Do your jacks retract, extend, like they should?
