Connecting An Inveter to The House/Starting Bank - orbitalsolutions - 03-20-2006 08:03

I am installing an Inverter and want to connect it directly to the
House/Starting Bank in my 78FC33. The bank is configured in the
original Series/Paralle configuration.

Where do I connect the Positive and Negative leads of the inverter to
the bank? I am not sure which terminals to use.

Thanks in advance to those who have been here and done this.

James,

FWIW, Check out the files section over on the FC_Wanderlaodge Yahoo
website. I believe you'll find some help there, T.J.Hannik detailed
his inverter installation on an early FC.

Jim, that was a lot of info, and mighty good stuff, with the
exception that it does not tell me which terminals of the 4
batteries to wire the converter to.

I am doing a very simple installation. I only want to convert
electricity in ONE dedicated circuit, to run an entertainment
center, nothing more. This circuit will consist of an extension
cord that will run from the converter to the entertainment center.

What I need to figure out, is which terminals of the four positive
and negative posts are best to hook the inverter up to. My bank is
the original configuration with (4) 6 volt batteries that serve as
both the house and starting bank.

Anyone?
