Sam's Club batteries - tommy240842@... - 05-22-2006 23:47

Hi folks,

Two and a half years ago I put Sam's Club 6V batteries in my coach and they
are going strong, have put water in one a couple of times, but they have
survived a Cincinnati winter and now the beginning of a Charleston summer. I
think there maybe a correlation between 'care and wear' on all batteries. BTW
I
am keeping them charged with a Tru-Charger 40, makes a world of difference.

Still in SC, Tom in Atlanta has my dinette and the cabinet to replace it in
the galley is about 1/2 done. Will have pictures to post of the project. I
am learning the meaning between 'carpenter and cabinet maker.'

Regards to the group.

Sam's Club batteries - krminyl@... - 05-23-2006 00:15

Greetings,

I too have the Sam's Club golf cart batts (6). I installed them in
November, 2001 (replacing the Trojan 105's), and they are still holding up
fine. I
water them monthly (they take maybe a cup of distilled water each), and I too
keep them charged using a PDI smart charger. I keep thinking I need to get
new ones, but they haven't shown any signs of failure, and still show the same
voltage as when new. I think they now cost about $50 each at Sam's Club (up
from the $46 I paid). Nearly half the cost of Trojans. Sam's Club charge
you a $7 per batt core exchange cost, but you get that back when you return a
like number of batteries. You could probably return SeaDo batteries..they
don't care....FWIW.
