Horton fan question - birdshill123 - 05-25-2006 10:10 My ZHorton Fan is not operating properly. 1988 FC35. When I engage the A/C the engine cools down. To me this means the sensor is not working. The fan overide works OK. Where is this sensor located. Can it be accessed without a rad removal? Is it a Horton part? Bb Part or Cat? The Horton manual lists both N.O. and N.C. sensors. Which is the correct one? Good source for the sensors? Thanks Bruce FC35 1988 Horton fan question - Jeff Miller - 05-25-2006 14:02 The sensor is on top of the engine, just behind the alternator. It is a NC sensor. If memory serves me correctly, it is a 195* sensor, I found that changing it to a 205* sensor reduces the fan cycling as the stock sensor has the fan on before the thermostats are fully open. Better still, relocate the sensor to the bottom of the radiator, ... I digress. - Jeff Miller in Holland, MI --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "birdshill123" > > My ZHorton Fan is not operating properly. 1988 FC35. When I engage the > A/C the engine cools down.
