Update on engine no start *Help please* - Chris - 06-20-2006 15:24 Had my mechanic who works on CAT engines come out and check things. The fuel cut off solinoid will work if jumped and engine starts, So solinoid is good. What supplies power for this? Is there some kind of fail safe linked to the engine warning system? My engine warning light has flashed on a few times over the past month but nothing was wrong. All fluid levels were ok and coach running fine. He believes that has something to do with it, maybe a module? He is coming back tomorrow to check each failsafe. Is there some system that will not let the fuel shut off solinoid open up? Mechanic says not to worry too much... Thanks Chris Reed 83 FC35 SB Plant City, FL. Hopefully running again soon... Update on engine no start *Help please* - Mike Hohnstein - 06-21-2006 00:12 Replace the ignition switch with a universal heavy duty type that has screw terminals. The original is from a Rambler (Kenosha Kadillac) and they don't make Ramblers any more. The ignition switch is an example of why they don't.
