Master Air Level switch- correct position for highway use - Jay Darst - 08-10-2006 15:21

Talked with Alan Johnson, 87FC35SB, just now as he is heading out of
St.Louis, southwest on I-44.

He asked me what the correct position of the MASTER AIR LEVEL switch
for highway use. I don't have this switch on my PT, so I don't know.
Could someone say which is the correct position for this switch for
highway travel?

The switch is a 3 position switch. The little pilot light is lit
when the MASTER AIR LEVEL is in the left or ON position. The center
position doesn't seem to do anything. I suggested he put the switch
in the right position. He indicated that, it did smooth the ride.

With the MASTER AIR LEVEL in the left or ON position, the front
suspension was FULLY extended and the ride was very crisp.

Neither Alan or I know how this is to be used. HELP?

The Master Air Level switch should be on for parked - air leveling,
OFF for parked dumped - hydraulic leveling, OFF for driving.

I don't believe mine had a center position, just on and off.
