"Smart" Alternator Regulator? - one_dusty_hoot - 08-23-2006 06:44 Xantrex has a Model 84-2006-01 smart charger that regulates the voltage output of the alternator according to what voltage the batteries want, not what the regulator dictates, 13.5-14.5 VDC, about $125 on Ebay. Many times after a long car trip my battery top was wet from overcharging, could this same thing happen to the coach batteries? I like the idea of a ramp up charge with ability to set charge voltages. Any Comments? Any users? Bob Janes '87FC35 Greenville, SC |
