SMI Silent Partner Brake Control Questions - Curt Sprenger - 08-26-2006 07:34 Before I screw something up I have some questions. I'm installing the SMI Silent Partner brake control in the Bronco/Bird. All the Bronco stuff is installed. To check out the towed install, the instructions say the gauge should read about 12" vacuum, no more than 15". Is there a gauge in the control box? Do I need to install a gauge in the vacuum line? The instruction also say to adjust the vacuum in 1/4 turn increments...location of adjustment screw? Those who have installed one of these units themselves, is there a gauge inside of the box along with the adjustment screw? Remove the bottom plate or remove the cover? -- Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38, Anaheim Hills, Calif.
