Coach Portion SMI Brake Control - Curt Sprenger - 08-27-2006 04:57

I'm studying the coach instructions for the SMI Silent Partner Brake
Control. The coach has Dual Air Brakes, and dual Stop Light Switches. Do
I hook up to both Stop Light Switches or just one?

Curt,
It would make sense that both stop light switches would be connected in
parallel, and so it wouldn't matter which one you connected to. My SMI has
two wires for brake signal. The instructions indicated that if only one wire
was used on the coach that I should connect both SMI wires to that one. The
directions did not explain the purpose of having two wires. Perhaps a
question sent to SMI would resolve the issue.
I also wonder how it reacts to 4-way flashers when the brake light is
used?
