Henry, the hinges are a start in your search if you have a swing radiator.
Take off the front panels, swing the bumper down and look on the side of your
radiator. If you see any modification that looks like a hinge you will be in
luck. The radiator is still bolted in place, though.

(1) If I have two hinges on the bottom of my front bumper, is this an
indication that my bus may have the swing radiator installed? (2) What
would be the next item to search for to confirm whether my bus has the
swing radiator? I tried looking up, from below, for hinges attached to
the radiator but I could see none. (3) Must I remove the front panels

Look through the grill louvers for a hinge on the left
side (facing rear)of the radiator. Open the doghouse,
see if top hose makes a large "U" instead of a tight one.
Souuds to me like your swinging, at least part-way with
the drop-down bumper. Also, see if the frame horn spreader
allows the radiator to clear without removing.

Thanks for your help Bob. I guess my question should have been whether
it's possible, with a quick visual inspection, to determine if the swing
radiator is installed ? From what I'm gathering, the answer is "no."
I'll follow the procedures that you and others have outlined.

Hi Henry,
When Holland Motor Homes installed aftermarket swing radiators, I
believe they would often place a small wooden shoe window sticker on
the copilot (perhaps drivers) side window that said "dutch door" on
it. This would be the fastest way to identify it.
Otherwise, get on your back and look for longer transmission cooling
lines being held up by a bracket located directly under the copilot
seat, or a longer coolant hose attached to the bottom of the
radiator, or the longer topside coolant hose, all of which allow for
swinging the radiator.
If you're still unsure, remove the front panels and look for the
large piano hinge on the curb side of the radiator.
