Tow Job - was Re: MICHIGAN wanderlodge inspection help needed in Lansing, MI - mbulriss - 09-01-2006 07:13 Ken, Say this message late last night but didn't get a chance to respond then. Unless there was signage stating no motorhomes or RVs allowed in the parking lot at any time (not just overnight parking), or unless you were parked in a no parking area, or impeding the flow of traffic, then you were lawfully parked in a public area. Better yet, you were frequenting the business establishments located therein and spending money with them. Seems to me that you bring your receipt to the mall manager (along with taxi or whatever expenses) and tell him you'll wait for your reimbursement check. Any problems with the mall manger and then you go to Barnes and Noble or whatever other stores you bought from and present them with the tow bill (along with your receipts from yesterday) and then raise considerable (but polite) ruckus with them. Then you call the local TV station with the "troubleshooter" reporter, the newspaper, the ADA guys (you did say you were deaf). Are you a veteran also? You said you had time on your hands, so this is a way to spend it. The mall manager should reconsider quickly when the tenants and the news media start inquiring and the negative publicity begins about vehicles being towed from the mall while shoppers shop. Any legal opinions on small claims court (minimal cost) or other legal recourse have to come from Wallace Craig or other members.
