[Fwd: Air Regulator - Microphor Toilet] - Curt Sprenger - 09-20-2006 08:00 The Microphor $290.00 toilet air pressure regulator ended up no cost to me. Not from Microphor. I contacted the local Clippard store. The 60 - 65 PSI regulator had a build date out 10 days and then shipping days. I said I'd take it. The gal asked how many and I said one. She said come on down and I'll give you a test sample of the 0 - 100 PSI regulator. I set the regulator adjustment toward the high end, installed the regulator, started the compressor, and kept tapping the flush handle until the toilet flushed, then backed off the regulator to a lower pressure that would not flush, then turned it up slightly, and all is good. Microphor sent me a PDF document for the LF-210 model, 16 pages. Let me know if you need a copy and I'll forward it to you. -- Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38 8V92, Anaheim Hills, Calif. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Air Regulator - Microphor Toilet Date: Wed, 20 Sep 2006 10:18:16 -0700 From: Curt Sprenger To: wanderlodge@yahoogroups.com, WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com We have the Microphor Air Operated toilet in our coach. The air pressure regulator exhaust port is leaking, causing the compressor to cycle every 35 minutes. Microphor tells me that the regulator is defective, bad seal(s). Microphor wants $290 for a new regulator, $95 for Microphor to rebuild ours, $65 for a rebuild kit. Clippard wants about $15.00 for what looks to be the same regulator as installed with our toilet. Has anyone replaced this regulator? What brand, part #, cost, purchased where, etc? -- Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38 8V92, Anaheim Hills, Calif. [Fwd: Air Regulator - Microphor Toilet] - David Brady - 09-20-2006 11:27 Curt, I had the same problem with my $20.00 Clippard air pressure regulator, so I bought a new one from Clippard. Within 2 weeks the new one exhibited the same symptoms. I called Clippard and was told that I could try dripping a few drops of air compressor tool oil into the top of the regulator - it's been working properly ever since.
