Secondary Fuel Fillers - Curt Sprenger - 09-22-2006 06:52 For the last 12,000 miles I've run with the 10 micron secondary fuel filters, 13/16" filter ID to the adapter. The Bluebird Service Parts Sheet lists the fuel filter DDA#25010793, and that x-refs to a Baldwin BF5800, and that is a 30 micron filter. Should a 10 or 30 micron secondary fuel filter be used on the 8V92? The reason I'm asking is I'm cleaning out some of the STUFF in one bay, and the coach came with lots of Fram fuel filters, numbers P1146 and P1147A. The P1146 is a 30 micron filter, ID to adapter is 1". The P1147A is a 10 micron filter, ID to adapter is 13/16". Seems the P1146 is of no use to me, unless the 30 micron filter is the one to use and I change the adapter to accept the filter ID of 1". .-- Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38 8V92, Anaheim Hills, Calif. |
