Does anyone know where the actual Safeline device is located in a
78FC? What does it look like? I tried to find something on the net but
all I find is Safeline metal detectors.

Gardner, regarding your Safeline. The Safeline in my coach is behind the door
that is opened from the front of the bus, the door that has the headlight. On
my coach the Safeline plugs into the two electrical outlets that are just
below seat level on the wall next to the driver. To find the Safeline box, just
follow the two cords. In addition there are two switches mounted in small gray
boxes near or on the master switch box in the compartment as you go in the
entrance door.

The Safeline in my coach almost looks like an afterthought or add on. Your
system might not be the same or may vary.

Thanks guys. When it stops raining I will go out and check. I opened
up the front yesterday but didn't find anything. It's probably by the
changeover switch.

I was thinking that if it is toast, I could simply employ two
relays (one 110 vac coil [connected at the changeover input side] and
one 12 vdc coil [connected to the ingition]) and wire the point sets
in series. If both relays are active a light or buzzer would be
activated. I can't imagine why anything more complicated would be
needed. I only have a 50 amp shore line connector so all shore lines
are wired to feed both phases so I don't need to worry about which
phase is active.
