Ed, i have my electric heaters on as I write. Temp is 34 and will fall to the
20's tonite. Since my heaters are old, I purchased 2 new space heaters. Those
and my propane heaters, should keep this old bus warm. Plus, thanks to Frank
Heeney, i now have drapes in the bedroom- added insulation.

LP gas valve handles, on or off? - ED GARDELS - 10-16-2006 07:14
Can someone tell me about the valve handles, please. If they(handle)
are parallel to the gas lines, is that off or on? I suspect on. I
asked the previous owner if they worked. He said in the 13 years he
owned it he never used any thing but heat strips on the ac units, no
electric or gas.
Also, on my dash there is a LP HEAT switch. I just found out about
two weeks ago that I have to have that sw on to get lp on the fridg.
Do the electric heaters keep the coach warm?We havent used it in the
winter yet.

Yes. The inline propane valves are only 1/4 turn on/off. When the T
handle is inline (parallel) with the propane pipe it is open, when it
is 90 degrees off/across the pipe it is closed.

Ed, a couple of weeks ago, I cleaned out all my lp heaters. I was surprised
that with a little cleaning, they work fine- 23 year old heaters!

Ed On mine I don't have to have that switch on to have the fridge running
on gas. I just need it on for the heaters & my electric heaters do a good job
too. The handle is parallel with the line when the gas is on.
