Dinette Table Leg Hinges, Makes Into Bed - erniecarpet@... - 10-17-2006 08:23 Curt- sure makes it nice when you don't hit the table leg with your own getting in and getting out of the booth. I ordered a pair of item AB340110 Table Leg Fasteners from SaliboatStuff. Didn't use the 90 degree part of the Leg Fasteners. Bought a 3.5" hinge from ACE. Removed the table/leg from the coach, turned it upside down on the bench. Removed the leg/table 90 fixed bracket, and angle support. Replaced the 90 fixed bracket with the hinge. Drilled out the angel bracket ends to 3/8" hole, to accept the Leg Fasteners screws. Put the threaded screws through the drilled holes. Tightened up the Leg Fasteners to the screws. Aligned both ends (to leg and table). Marked the holes for the wood screws. Drilled the holes, and assembled. To lower the table, remove the two Leg Fasteners (screws), fold up the leg, lower the table to bed level. Could have made my own fasteners, but the brass fasteners look more Bluebird than plain painted steel. Thanks to everyone who offered information and suggestions. Much appreciated. My grand kids will be happy! -- Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38 8V92, Anaheim Hills, Calif. Dinette Table Leg Hinges, Makes Into Bed - Curt Sprenger - 10-17-2006 12:49 Ernie, Do you have the Corian dinette table? Heavy! I wanted to do the angled leg like you did, but time is running out this week. Heading for Buellton Thursday, Southwest Bluebird & SOBs Rally, and the grand kids will be joining us. We have 27 units participating. Rally, SOBs...my daughter and her friend, owning SOBs, tell me they have shirts made up that say "SOB" on them. They tell me there must be a better acronym. Will be interesting to see the shirts, and the reaction from others. Catch ya later. My son just bought an SOB. Sometimes you just can't win when the older birds don't have slides and fancy paint jobs.
