Financing? - erniecarpet@... - 10-23-2006 09:08 Scott- we had been with the local bank for 10 years and they financed our 83. We have a credit union and transferred our bird note to them and saved a couple points. In most cases a 15-20 yr old BB is a better bet than a 10-year old plastic unit, yet no one will finance the old 'Birds. I'd love to upgrade, but can't do it out of pocket. It is not the same one dealers use. Call them and ask a lending rep.....(800) 531-2265 Mike Bulriss 1991 WB40 "Texas Minivan" San Antonio, TX --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Scott Forman" <sforman@...> wrote: > > Anyone ever find any "outside the box" folks who will finance the older > BB's? There are some tax aspects to consider as well, as home-interest (as in a refinance) is generally deductible while a vehicle or credit union loan is not deductible. A smaller bank may be willing to finance a 'bird if you have other assets (e.g. stocks, certificates of deposit) to pledge to make the loan to value ratio more attractive. Pete Masterson aeonix1@... These guys are absolutely the best insurance and finance company I have ever come across. Just incredible service and very easy to work with. My terms are 60 months and 90% and they would have gone longer. Good Luck! Check with your local credit union.
