Mice - erniecarpet@... - 11-03-2006 06:25 Chuck- I had a couple this year, also. I believe mine came in thru a hole in the floor where some pipes run. I have since corrected the problem. I set traps and caught 5 of the little sob's before I left. The question is, how did they get in? Chuck Harrison 90SP36 Akron, Ohio Mice - Pete Masterson - 11-03-2006 07:34 On their little mouse feet. Rodents are able to squeeze through incredibly small cracks/holes (or even an open doorway). It's important to thoroughly seal any cracks or openings to keep mice from squeezing through ... of course, they can also chew through any chewable material, making their own holes. In my home, I pack steel wool into any gaps or cracks, for example where plumbing enters the house before sealing with caulk or other chewable material. I'd use the stainless steel 'chore boy' type scrubbers on a Wanderlodge as ordinary steel wool rusts rather rapidly if contacted by water -- more likely in a vehicle than a home. Also make sure that compartments, door, and windows seal tightly and that there are no gaps in the rubber where a critter can creep through. Even the smallest gap can be exploited.
