Cruise Control??? - doug_ngl - 11-23-2006 10:54 Hey Gang, Happy T-Day! Nothing like a day of BB chores. I think I have a handle on my water problems, looks like a bad regulator/check valve and a seeping Sporlan letting the water run in a loop instead of building pressure when using the pump. Gonna look for parts tomorrow. The cruise does not work on our rig, so we used the hand throttle on the way home, kinda scary in traffic ![]() linkage, I saw a heavy gauage beaded chain laying in the valley under the air plentum. I pulled gently on the chain (it was not attatched to anything) and it came loose, bringing a short, light, broken cable with it. Is this the throttle/cruise connection? If so, where does it hook up, is there some bellcrank assy that I am missing? Any light that could be shed on the cruise control assy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks as always. Doug Cruise Control??? - davidkerryedwards - 11-23-2006 13:43 Yes, I believe that is the throttle cruise connection. On mine it goes from the actuator to the throttle linkage. Do you have an actuator in place? My vacuum generator failed and I decided it to replace the vacuum system with an electric version since the vacuum system did not work that well anyway. Doug > Cruise Control??? - Jeff Miller - 11-23-2006 15:21 If it's an '80-'83 FC it should have a vacuum-actuator for the cruise control mounted to the rearmost bolts for the intake manifold, driver's side. - Jeff Miller --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "davidkerryedwards" > > Yes, I believe that is the throttle cruise connection. Doug davidkerryedwards is the throttle cruise connection. On mine it goes from the actuator to the throttle linkage. Do you have an actuator in place? I looked into it more today and found the ball chain component that I had found connects to a vaccum dashpot via a small (read:tiny) cable. The cable is broken. Any ideas on parts sources for this before I start fabricating? What happened to the Broncos yesterday??? I'll post the results. Doug M Thomas Eastham with my 83 FC35. Please keep us posted on what you figure out.
