really need to get this rear main seal fixed. Does anyone know of a good
place in Wash (preferably close to Seattle) they would entrust with a bigger
job like that?

Thanks

Bruce; I just replaced the exhauste mqnifold on my 91 8V92 , one of the ears
was broken off. I had an used manifold so it was not much of an expense. I
don't know what the torque setting is. Dave 1991 WLPT0 & 82 FC 35

This is just going to be a quick note to let you all know
that we have started our maiden voyage.

We drove from Terrace, B.C. to Archer Florida in 6 days.

After installing new tires, doing some more minor
maintenance on the coach, and purchased a new car hauler we are on our way.

Presently we are in Texas
and having put almost 1,500 miles under our belts, this is an awesome coach to
drive.

Here are some facts from this coach:

Turbo boost 11psi
Turbo pyro 850F,

engine oil temp 200,

transmission oil temp
200,

engine oil pressure
75,

engine water temp 195,

charging 60 amps,

engine shifts 2200-2400 rpm,

We had a problem with generator, and it was caused by not
enough voltage to the field, (battery voltage only 10 volts, once plugged into
shore it went back to 13.6volts) will
have to check into this later.

Otherwise all things going smoothly.

See you guys and gals in Buellton.

Congratulations Don. We'll see you soon at QZ. We leave Sunday from
Dallas and will stop a couple days in Phoenix for a little golf and
visits. Let me know if You need anything picked up in Phoenix while
I'm there. I assume you are just south of the tent.

the 3, I think (yes, I have 3 now Smile). I won't be using one that is
already up there, but it means there will still be 3.

The previous owner installed a 2000 watt Prosine, and its display said
that there was battery overheating. Neither alternator showed much
amperage at all.

intake points at back grill, output goes through a hose to a long
rectangular box against the top of the engine compartment at the
extreme back. Did not see where the air could go after that. It was
running after shut down. What is it?

For what it's worth,
All the years I owned my 84FC and 86Newell, I was constantly told that
diesel fuel additives were totally unnecessary for Cat and Detroit engines.
I presume the same for Cummins. But with the new Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel
Fuel, I'll pass along what I recently heard from a big truck mechanic. He
said the long term damage done but less-lubrication in the fuel would show
up as premature friction-wear on internal parts and reduced performance from
the fuel injectors. And since it would take place over a long period of
time, it's something we probably wouldn't detect until too late. He
recommended Power Service Diesel Kleen (summer) and Diesel Fuel Additive
(winter) at roughly one quart per 100 gallons or 96 ounces per 300 gallons.
Both sizes are now available at WalMart, which, by the way is slowly adding
to its RV supplies. I don't know whether they carry the other brand, Howes
(I didn't notice it). It was nice not to have to drive out of town to a
truck stop to get it.

Leroy and JEH

I would sincerely appreciate you keeping your opinions and your two cents
worth to your selves when it comes to something you know absolutely nothing
about, and that is me, my coach, and the buyer OR our agreements or how I choose
to conduct MY business.

Hi Guys and Gals,
While going over the Bus today for some maintenance, I found that the generator
injection pump was leaking from the throttle post and underneath at the rear of
the pump... Can this be fixed without a major overhaul of the pump??? Also,
would I be able to do it myself???
TIA
