When your shift selector goes out you are in for a treat, can't go
farward or backward depending on which button goes out, mine was
reverse. This little baby was $1300 with me installing it myself.
Prices are what ever the market will bare.

Sorry about that. Sure do like my old FC manual shifting lever, as long as the
cable don't rust up.

Patticake, was the burnt out reverse selector "the caues" or "a
result" ????? It may be the component or wire powered by selecting R
that has issues. Replacing a fuse or switch hardly ever fixed a
problem.

You can buy alot of pullthru site upgrades for $1,300.00

Greg,
The buttons are pressure sensitive, with two circuit boards below
that. The reverse button lost it's internal contact.
I assume that it can be rebuilt, but I was short on time.

Steve, Wish there was a place you could log that part for sale long
term with a description of issue. I would have wires coming out of
the shift console with a colorchart for shift selection before I
opened my wallet. I have a tractor under MFG. warranty that keeps on
blowing the keyboard contact for the same function. In my instance,I
believe repeat replacement at their expence prove a component
problem. I just fear $1,300.00 is too much tuition.

This won't make you feel better now but I documented a source for your
shift selector in the Parts database back in 2004. Chances are you
will never need another one but if anyone else does, this company can
save you a grand or more vs. Allison prices. David Hanvy 89 WB Crosby

Oooouch!! $200 repair versus $1300 replacement! I found the entry
David made in the Parts Database.

Just goes to show it is always best to search the forum resources
before embarking on a project. I know I've been guilty of forgetting
that sometimes also, but that one hurt. Sorry Steve!

Thanks to all the members that keep adding to the forum Files,
