I have a question.
Did the word Toad in RV speak evolve from the word towed? Down here in
FL toads eat bugs and are pretty good sized creatures.
I pull a trailer.

Yep, toad=towed, but normally only in reference to another powered vehicle. A
trailer is still a trailer.

A toad can also be a dingy, behind the (land) yacht, but toad seems to have one
the nomenclature battle in most places.
