All you over 65 or disabled Texans need to vote in the May election. According
to the Ft. Worth Star Telegram "the proposed constitutional amendment provides
for a reduction of the of the total amount of ad volorem tax's that may be
imposed on resident homesteads of the elderly or disabled to reflect any
reduction of the rate of those taxes for the years 2005 & 2007. Since 1978
seniors and disabled homeowners have not qualified for a reduction in school
taxes if a school district reduced its tax rate."
