8V92 Owners - jqrjr - 05-02-2007 01:58 Hi, Has anybody replaced the oil temp sending unit in the 8V92, I am trying to find the location of the Oil Temp. sender, not the pressure sender. Thanks Jim RIordan 88 WBWL XXVB Stuart, Fl. 8V92 Owners - Leroy Eckert - 05-02-2007 07:42 Sorry I sent you to the oil pressure sender. I'll try again. I have not changed my oil temperature sender or verified that the sender located on top of the spin on oil filter adapter bolted to the left side of the engine operates the oil temp gauge. I have always assumed it does. To verify disconnect the wire(mine is green) turn on the key then ground the wire and the gauge should move to the right. Hope that is better advise and more specific. The sender is not easy to see or reach.
