LP gas monitor - Dan Saari - 05-07-2007 14:18 Anyone know were I can buy a new LP gas monitor...? Its been screwin up for a year so I'm going to replace it.... Dan Respond to my email please LP gas monitor - ac7880 - 05-07-2007 14:25 My original was an atwood that detected and then shut off the safety valve at the main tank. I don't believe Atwood still sells the LP Gas Detector that also shuts off the gas valve automatically. I could not find a replacement Atwood with the automatic gas valve safety shutoff, they were only detectors. (this was last year - maybe they have them now). I went with the CCI Control Electronic LP Gas Detector model 50859. When a gas leak is detected in the RV, it sounds an alarm -- AND shuts off the gas supply by controlling a UL listed LP gas valve. It also has a on/off switch, that will open and close the external gas valve. This is what the original Atwood did minus the on/off switch, the new ones that I found did not have the shutoff feature. The CCI is flush mount, but a different size than the Atwood. I had to lengthen the mounting hole, and make a cover plate to decrease the width. I mounted it vertically versus horizontially, with the sensor at the bottom. I tested the CCI and it does indeed shutoff the original LP valve on my 94 BB BMC 37'. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/lp-gas-parts-1.htm?source=google http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/lp-gas/cci-control-pre-tell.htm They also have a carbon monoxide CCI detector: http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/lp-gas/carbon-monoxide-detectors- rv.htm Dan 94 BMC 37' NM --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Dan Saari" wrote: > > > Anyone know were I can buy a new LP gas monitor...?
