Can anyone advise me on how to get a dish going? Or maybe some tips on
troubleshooting?

Thanks, Keith

-What sattelite system do you have (the equipment not the service)?

I got this dish and control box free so I have to make it work. It's
a matter of principle. Plus, I'm a cheapskate.

I have a DATRON (Cruise)DBS30500 Single LNB Mobile Satellite
Television System and a Sony SAT-B50 receiver. I had the Directv guy
check it for signal and it stands up and rotates sometimes so I know
it works. That leads me back to the control box/receiver.

That's all I know at this point.

Thanks for your help,

Keith

Come on now Hank that would only make me poorer than I already am! I
know, I do have a lot of questions huh? But everybody likes free
information...

You may have this but though if not then you could use it.

http://www.martronics.com/_pdf/DBS300x-Install-and-UserManual.pdf

If the unit is working intermittently, that suggests a lose wiring connection.

Not sure what sort of problem your having.

Thanks Ralph, I have the manual but I'm starting to suspect the
antenna control cable. I'm going to look for a new one locally so I
can get this thing going. If all else fails I'm gonna call in the
experts.

Ryan,

What brand of satellite dish were you referring? I have a similar problem
with my KVH Tracvision not locking on the satellite.
