Water Softner - Bob Lawrence - 06-08-2007 14:22 Hi guys, I got tired of the hard water deposits in the shower and the faucets. I saw Camping World had a water softner for 200 bucks. Looked at it and then went online. Bought one from Russ@.... It's the same thing as the one front CW but has more gold resin in it. CW has 1 1/2 pounds and the flowpur one has 3 pounds. Russ says when the gold resin needs to be replaced any water softner place sells it. It took my hard water and put it down to 0! When taking a shower, the water feels oily, it's so soft. Wife loves it. Got test strips with it and test the water wherever we stay. If hard, connect the softner. We had a rally at a Thousand Trails in Anacortes, Wa last month and the water was off the chart for hardness. I know of one bird owner in the group that will be getting one. It will stop the calcium buildup in the inlet. It took about a week before the calcium was out of the pipes. When we start fulltiming in 4 months, we will have this with us. It is 23" tall and 9" round so fit easily in a side compartment. I chain it up when we park so it doesn't develop legs. You may consider this if hard water is a problem in your area or when traveling. Bob Lawrence 84 PT36 Tacoma, Wa. After a trial with the coach i put one in the house. We really like it. Paul Downey Versailles Ky 83PT35 Our Rollin Home ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
