Temp Readings - Mark Garber - 05-05-2005 15:41

I was exercising the bird and my water temp was running 190-200 which didn't
concern me but the oil temp was running 290-300 and that concerns me. Altho I
haven't checked or changed the oil sending unit yet and I know the guages aren't
necessarily accurate as they haven't been calibrated to my knowledge. I had also
stopped and cracked & opened the radatior cap without a problem while it was
warm so I know the water was OK. I also plan on testing the antifreeze for
cooling and ph properties. Any other thoughts b4 I start digging into things?

Seems to me I remember something about oil coolers going bad on
3208s, can't remember for sure though (long time ago).

I suppose if you were to replace the hoses on the oil cooler anyway,
you could check water flow through it.
