Washington, where to camp - Wallace Craig - 06-11-2007 02:11

To all you birders knowledgeable of Wash. state; I'm looking for a good camp for
couple of months. Olympic peninsular a possibility or somewhere around seatac.
I want to stay within foot print for satellite which seems to stop just north of
Seattle.
What is around Hood Canal?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Wallace:

I am not sure what satellite provider you are using so I can't
comment on that. There are so many good campgrounds in Western
Washington that it is hard to pick just a couple.

One that comes to mind is:
Campground: Rest-A-While RV Resort, Marina, and Dive Center
27001 N US Highway 101
Hoodsport WA 98548
(360) 877-9474
Toll Free: (866) 637-9474
Website: http://www.restawhile.com

Another super nice park is:
Fort Worden State Park and Conference Center
http://www.parks.wa.gov/fortworden/

If you are retired military or DOD there are others that could be
added.

Maybe these will give you something to start with.
